It is such a strange feeling to come home after a long period of time. I feel a disconnection from my house, my family and the city I grew up in. I am foreign. My own mattress feels too firm to sleep on. I drove around everywhere I used to go, straining my eyes and noting all that has changed, even in the slightest way. I am enjoying being here, ocean in view from my house, the palm trees in my back yard swaying with the breeze and glistening in the sunshine (Sounds fabricated or like a tropical vacation) But I guess coming home to Miami is now a form of vacation, a break from my current reality. Other than being excited to attend Art Basel Miami Beach (http://www.artbaselmiamibeach.com/ ), helping Amy and all the art related festivities that surround it, I have been just itching to go back to New York City. Has anyone had a similar experience this past weekend?
